Upcoming Concert: Handel and Telemann - Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin
Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin is a multi award-winning early music ensemble that has its own concert series in Germany's capital. The group was founded in 1982 and they give around 100 concerts every year. Akamus, as the academy is known by, have also been recording exclusively for Harmonia Mundi since 1994.
For this performance, the Berlin period ensemble's programme focuses on Handel's Concerti Grossi Op. 3, interspersed with Telemann's Canonic Sonatas.
The performance will take place at the Wigmore Hall, 36 Wigmore St, London at 7.30pm on Saturday, 4 May 2019.
The concert will be approximately 2 hours in duration, including an interval.
